Tatsuo Otsuka is president of K.K. Ashisuto, Japan's leading independent distributor of packaged computer software for large organizations.

Mr. Otsuka is the second president in K.K. Ashisuto's 45-year history, accepting the appointment in January 2012 when the company's founder and first president, Bill Totten, assumed the role of chairman.

Tatsuo Otsuka

Mr. Otsuka was born in 1956 in Niigata Prefecture in northern Japan, where he spent his youth. After working a couple of years at a large IT solution provider, Mr. Otsuka joined K.K. Ashisuto in 1983 as a technical manager. In 1988 he was appointed sales manager for the eastern region of K.K. Pansophic, a group company of Ashisuto at the time. In succeeding years he took on regional branch manager and divisional manager responsibilities in several different group companies of Ashisuto, increasing sales revenue with each new assignment and contributing substantially to Ashisuto's growth. In every position he has held, Mr. Otsuka has succeeded in improving business processes while raising employee motivation.

In 2004, he was appointed managing director in charge of Central and Western Japan. In 2009, he became a senior managing director in charge of nationwide sales.

In 2012 Mr. Otsuka accepted appointment as K.K. Ashisuto president, succeeding the company's founder and first president, Bill Totten.
